prathama līlāya tāṅra 'viśvambhara' nāma
bhakti-rase bharila, dharila bhūta-grāma
Synonyms
prathama—first; līlāya—in the pastimes; tāṅra—of Him; viśvambharanāma—the name Viśvambhara; bhakti-rase—with the mellow of devotional service; bharila—He filled; dharila—saved; bhūta-grāma—all the living entities.

In His early pastimes He is known as Viśvambhara because He floods the world with the nectar of devotion and thus saves the living beings.
