tathāpi utsāha baḍa candana lañā yāite
saṅge—with him; eka—one; vaṭa—farthing; nāhi—there was not; ghāṭī-dāna—as a toll tax; dite—to give; tathāpi—still; utsāha—enthusiasm; baḍa—much; candana—sandalwood; lañā—taking; yāite—to go.
